Cliff works with Ivany Investment Group as a New Media Specialist and is on point for sourcing and evaluating opportunities in the digital space.

Cliff is the former MD of Yahoo! Australia & NZ which he ran from 2003-2006. After leaving Yahoo! in mid-2006 Cliff went on to be a partner and Managing Director of a digital strategy agency, Clear Light Digital which was recently acquired by the ASX listed Bluefreeway Group. Cliff continues to Chair the agency and he also Chairs one of the largest independent online publishers in Australia, Sound Alliance.

Cliff is an active Venture Capitalist in the new media space, working as a partner with Ivany Investment Group (IIG). IIG has made a number of investments to date with a strategy of actively participating in the invested companies so as to maximise value via contribution of intellectual property as well as capital.

Whilst at Yahoo! Cliff was a founder and Chairman of the Australian Interactive Advertising Bureau and Chairman of the Mobile Advertising Awards in 2006 and 2007.

Prior to Yahoo! Cliff was a founding Director of the AIM listed wireless application service provider, iTouch. Cliff started and ran the Australian office from 2000-2003. His other major industry role in Australia was as Head of Corporate Strategy for Vodafone Australasia from 1998-2000.

His career prior to emigrating to Australia in 1997 was mostly based out of South Africa, where he was born, as a Strategy Consultant with international consultancies Gemini and Bain Consulting.

Cliff has a Masters of Business Science from the University of Cape Town and a Masters of Science in Management from Ben Gurion University (which was achieved whilst living in Israel from 1986-1988).
