Ivany Investment Group, through the Ivany Foundation, are committed to assisting in the development of our community by supporting not for profit organisations that enrich the culture and education of our community.
Our focus includes theatre, film, art, sport and the Jewish Community.
We also support a wide variety of charities involving areas such as medical research, health programs and other social issues.
Since 2005, Peter has been working as the Founding Chairman of the Sydney Swans Foundation to ensure the club continues to succeed and flourish into the future. Through their fundraising efforts, the Foundation has supported projects such as the Altitude Room, change room upgrades, lights at the Lakeside Oval, player GPS units, and medical and conditioning software programs. The Foundation also makes an annual contribution to the operation of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy.
Peter is also a Patron of Sports Connect, an organization that connects business and sport to provide exclusive networking, educational, mentoring and leadership initiatives, and is a former Patron of the Sydney University Australian Rules Club..
Taking the reins as Chairman of the NIDA Foundation Trust in 2013, Peter leads the charge to raise funds and build up a corpus to support new learning opportunities, play commissions and productions, and to help NIDA grow and change to meet the highest educational standards. The development of a new Graduate School is the latest initiative to continue NIDA’s evolution as a major competitor on the world stage.
In 2015 Peter also became a NIDA Board Member.
Peter is also the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Sydney Film Festival. He spent three years as the Chairman of the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School (AFTRS); was a board member of the Museum of Contemporary art for six years; and was a member of the President’s Council for the Art Gallery of New South Wales for twelve years.
An active member of the Jewish community, Peter is Chairman of the Life Governors Advisory Council of the JCA and has been involved in a variety of roles within the organization since 1997.
Peter is also a founding board member of the Jewish International Film Festival, was a founding board member of the Australia Israel Cultural Exchange, and was an ambassador for the Israeli-Palestinian Film and Television Initiative with the Peres Centre for Peace in Australia.

He has been involved in the capital appeals for many community constituents for nearly 30 years.
