Colin has extensive treasury, financial and corporate development expertise.

He is currently retained by a selection of distressed businesses ranging from manufacturing to entertainment and is involved in engineering turnarounds in these firms.

He serves as director and/or consultant to MTM Entertainment (IMAX Theatres), Recreational Tourism Pty Limited (base Backpackers) and several other private businesses. Colin also served as a consultant to Video Ezy prior to IIG's successful sale of their interest in the company in 2005.

Biography

 

Colin joined Hoyts in 1986 where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Hoyts Cinemas Limited from 1989 to 2001. He successfully guided the recapitalisation of Hoyts in 1994, its listing on ASX in 1996 and takeover by Consolidated Press Holdings Limited in 1999. Colin also actively negotiated the sale of Hoyts’ European assets and the restructure of Hoyts USA on contract basis until 2001.

Prior to 1986 Colin held executive director positions in South African textile companies where he was responsible for a number of turnarounds of unprofitable and financially stretched entities into healthy and profitable enterprises. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town and is an Associate of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Outside of IIG Colin is a director of JewishCare and White City Tennis Club.
